People from all walks of life are welcome!
The wide range of professional backgrounds of our members forms a unique association that allows the bond between Hong Kong (China) and Germany to be strengthened through social, cultural and academic interactions. Many of our members are multi-lingual (German, Cantonese, Putonghua, English) with one thing in common – a link with Germany of some kind.
Our Mission
The Association aims to foster and enhance professional and close contacts among alumni in Hong Kong; and between them and their respective German Institutions (universities, schools, research centres and foundations). The Association brings people together through cultural and community events as well as seminars.
Becoming a member of the Association will give you the opportunity to meet and share information and activities with a dynamic group of people of different cultural background, people in different professions and with a wide range of experiences. For enquiries, you may send e-mail to info@gaa.org.hk.

OUR PAST IS OUR FUTURE
Message from President
Dear Fellow Members,
Happy Chinese New Year and I wish every one of you all the best in the Year of Rabbit !
Founded in 2002 under the initiative of the German Consulate General in Hong Kong, GAAHK is entering her 10th anniversary this year. After one decade, the association has grown rapidly and become much better known in the community. GAAHK hosts over 15 events annually including German Movie Nights, Victoria Harbour Cruise, Excursions to outlying islands, Seminar Talks, Beer Evenings, Gluehweinabend / Christmas Dinner and other activities related to Arts and Culture. All these are carefully planned and intended for members to stay in touch, network, keep abreast of what happens around, make new acquaintances and more importantly – have a good time after the busy work of the day. The response is overwhelmingly evident. This is very heartening and we are determined to move further forward with a high working spirit than ever.
In year 2011, and at the 10th anniversary for GAAHK, we will arrange a series of delightful events. Members are cordially reminded and urged to save these event dates and I do count on your continuous support and full participation.
The energetic and devoted Executive Committee will continue to serve to the mission of continuing to seek innovative methods to bring more alumni and friends together on a harmonious platform to cherish and share their German memories and experiences. Your enthusiastic participation in our work and activities as well as your contribution of valuable ideas are of vital importance to the future development of the GAAHK.
Good luck and good health to you all.
Yours truly,
Joyce Wong
President
So come and join us today!
